What we can offer..

Radiology

Fitted with both a portable and fixed xray machines, a CT machine, a Dental xray machine, our C-arm and an Ultrasound machine, North Richmond Vet Hospital take every measure to make sure we have high standard machinery to help us help your pet!

Isolation Ward

Minimising contamination of disease and pathogens is of the utmost importance at NRVH! We have ensured our isolation ward is built to suit a number of species and we are always prepared to keep our sick patients as comfortable as possible.

Dry and Wet Labs

We have two labs within our hospital.

One is for our "wet tests" which contains our Imagyst machine that runs all our feacal and urine testing machines plus our Microscope.

The other is for our "dry tests" which contain our Blood machines, PCR machine and our Centrifuge machine.

Reproduction Room

We see a huge number of breeders of various species and are proud to offer such high quality reproductive services. We have a deditcated room in which our semen testing microscope and TCI standing bench is located. It is a large sized room to be able to make your animal feel at ease during their procedure!

Euthanasia Room

At North Richmond Vet Hospital, we understand that end of life for your pet is a very emotional and stressful time for both you and your family member.

This is why we have taken it upon ourselves to create this very special room, with our now passed clinic cat Stanley looking over you all, it is a spacious room to ensure your pet feels comfortable!

The room also has an access point which allows our clients to leave back out the front but without having to walk back through our reception area.

Sterile Sugical Rooms

We have two large sterile surgical rooms in which all of our orthopedics, abdominal and thoracic surgeries are completed in.

This aids in helping your pet stay infection free during their surgical procedure.
In both of these rooms are anaesthetic machines equipped with ventilators, our incredible C-arm, IV poles with syringe drivers and fluid pumps solely for these sterile rooms which minimise contamination from our sick patients.

Spacious Treatment Room

At North Richmond Vet Hospital, we are so thrilled to have such a large and well stocked treatment room! This is our main room and is usually where our critical patients and surgery patients that have just come out of surgery can be monitored and treated.

Some surgical procedures, like castrations, abcess and wound surgeries and some soft tissue surgeries are done here also as we have three surgical tables and anaesthetic machines located in this room.

Dental Surgery Room

Dental procedures are considered a "dirty" surgery as the mouth is not a clean or sterile field. Because of this we have created a dental room which contains two surgical tables and anaesthetic machines. By keeping our dirty procedures contained to one room, we are able to perform Dental X-rays and ensure infection of other surgical procedures is minimised.
